SHOCK SENSOR

Monitor the impacts to your freight or breakbulk cargo

High-precision data on handling with shock detection, data graphs, and GPS positions on location for incidents. Get instant alarms, identify weaknesses in the supply chain based on data, and settle damage disputes – all in one IoT data tracking solution.

Logistics managers know that assets are at high risk of damage during transport and shipment.

They will also tell you that this damage is, unfortunately, not often discovered before the cargo arrives at the final destination.

This makes it difficult to determine insurance responsibilities as you cannot prove where and when the accident occurred.

Full visibility of handling and mishandling with the Trusted tracking solution

An attached Trusted tracking device gives you full visibility with its built-in shock sensor – in some industries known as an impact recorder.

The tracking device records and monitors impacts which helps you control the handling of your equipment or provides you data that can be used for a compliance report of your transports.

It can alert you when potential damage events occur in real-time or help you prove where and when damage occurred by logging shock events even when out of coverage.

Measure impacts during the entire shipment of containers by rail transport or road transport. Or follow up on crucial points of transit such as the handling on harbors which, from our many years of experience of helping customers manage damage, is a point of high risk of cargo damage.

Case Study

This impact recorder gives you the time, location, and force of any drop

If sensitive freight is dropped just a few centimeters, it could generate enough g-force to cause critical damage. Data trackers will give you the overview, security, and concrete insights you need.

Here’s how

How does the shock sensor work?

The 3-axis accelerometer records impacts and vibrations. The X Y Z accelerometer can detect the direction of the impact. Set up a maximum threshold on, e.g. 5 G and receive alarms when the threshold exceeds.

The shock sensor enables you to identify:

  • G-force impacts measurement
  • Directions of impacts
  • Real-time alerts and historical data analytics
  • Time and location of events

All this helps you identify the causes of the impacts and mishandling to your cargo and equipment in transit and makes you able to react quickly and make smart decisions.

Use the shock data for documentation of the handling, create lower shipping costs and improve customer information and satisfaction.
